CAD/CAM
We
operate Alphacams (formerly Licom) Advanced 3D/3Axis
Milling module which offers 3 axis capability
plus two positioning axis for both horizontal
and vertical machining centers.
Technical
features include:
CAD
2D: Traditional 2D design with layering,
styles, colours, dimensioning and sectioning
etc.
CAD
3D: work planes including non-orthogonal;
modelling of swept surfaces, coons patch surfaces,
ruled surfaces, sectional surfaces, surfaces
of revolution etc.; shading of surfaces; management
of 2D and 3D splines.
CAM
2D: Vertical contouring and pocketing,
using ramping, with section and with automatic
restart; drilling, tapping, boring, (with or
without automatic cycles), helical milling.
CAM
3D:Roughing of surfaces with a stepped
path; finishing of surfaces along an angle; projection
or wrapping of paths onto planes and surfaces;
3D engraving.
Solid
Simulation: Solid toolpath simulation;
management of clamps and fixtures; collision
control.
Input:
Our system supports input from the following
formats: DXF, DWG, IGS, STL, ANVIL, STEP, CADL,
VDA, Rhino 3D, Solidworks, Parasolid, Inventor
and Catia 4 options.
Paper
Drawings:
We accept paper drawings which can be either
converted through our CAD department into machine
files or used directly by our machinists.
