Since inception, Aerocomponents has specialised in CNC precision engineering for the aerospace industry. Our principle speciality is the machining of prototype, low and medium batch quantities for engine systems, undercarriage actuation, pneumatic weapon ejection, thermal imaging, missile seeker cooling, satellite cryogenic cooling & propulsion systems.
Many of these components are part of critical no-fail assemblies which means full inspection and zero fault delivery.
We
have carried out work for most of the tier 1
aerospace companies including GE Aviation (formerly
Smiths Aerospace, Dowty)
Ultra Electronics, Honeywell Hymatic, Cranfield
Aerospace and Marotta.
Aerospace machining typically requires some of the strictest tolerances in the industry, typically 0.001µm, which is why we operate a dedicated inspection department with full time quality inspectors.
Material procurement is also critical. We purchase all materials using only vetted suppliers, pay detailed attention to issued certificates of conformity and ensure full batch traceability. We use a variety of sources often sourcing material from overseas when required.
We manage all sub contract treatments including flaw detection.
At Aerocomponents, not only do you get a company with over 30 CNC machining stations based on a mix of 3, 4 and 5 axis capabilities, leading edge solid model CAD/CAM facilities and a company operating to the most upto date aerospace quality management systems but your also getting years of experience and know how. Our engineers are all time served and our senior managers have been working closely with aerospace clients for most of their careers and understand your requirements.
Whatever your market, commercial, military or space, large or small, if you are looking to select an accredited aerospace CNC machining sub-contractor for your next program, please bear us in mind. We are always happy to show potential customers around our facilities and are certain you will be impressed with our capability and track record.
