Using Hurco® 5-axis CNC milling centres, we produce greater consistency across tighter tolerances, continuous path surface contouring, reduced set ups and higher rates of material removal resulting in shorter production times of complex and precise parts.
A CAD drawing is first exported into a compatible format and converted into machine instructions using the hyperMILL® CAM software.
The CNC machine needs to be calibrated to ensure that the material is properly aligned and at the correct height before the execution can start.
The CNC machine is then activated and the cutting tool is guided along the programmed path to remove raw material from the component.
Throughout the machining process, sensors and precision measurement tools are used to monitor the dimensions and quality of the part.
5 Axis milling allows the creation of extraordinarily complex shapes, allowing tools to move simultaneously around 5 axes of an object. 5 Axis machines utilise the typical X, Y, and Z axes in conjunction with the A and B axes so that tools can get to five sides of a part, without additional turning or setup required.
Our expertise in 5 axis CNC milling is why our aerospace and Formula 1 clients choose us for their complex components. Our unrivalled experience ensures the most precise, highest quality finish every time.
We operate 5 Hurco® VMX30U & 2 Hurco® VMX30S 5 axis CNC milling centres that allow us to handle the most complex jobs. The machines offer 762(x), 508(y) and 520(z) travel with spindle speeds up to 10,000 rpm.
The result is a product engineered with precision and to the highest standards expected by our clients, representing our engineering excellence and first-class service. Each product is quality assured which is certified.
Using state-of-the-art technology and a team of highly skilled engineers, we are proud to produce precision parts for some of the most prestigious businesses in the world.
